WHAT DO YOU SEE in a rough chunk of rock? The size and color? The texture and weight? Or, like our carvers, do you see the figure inside waiting to be released? Rugged warrior, noble buffalo, dancing maiden or healing bear--each a perfect union of shape, color and artfully carved detail.

OUR HAND CARVED SCULPTURES are made from alabaster from the Four Corners (Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah) area. Each artist interprets the stone in their own way, and adds unique and personal detailing that makes each piece truly one of a kind.

ENOY THE CONNECTION to Mother Earth each time you touch the smooth sides of the carving you have chosen. Notice the subtle shifts in color in the stone.

ADD THE QUIET MAJESTY of a Chieftan in full ceremonial dress to your office desk, or make a lyrical maiden the focal point of your family room. Give a gift of a healing bear carved with a spirit line and decorated with its own medicine bundle.

A HAND CARVED ALABASTER SCULPTURE makes a perfect gift, and one that can be appreciated in any décor.

Chief Dodge Indian Jewelry and Fine Arts is proud to present these fine Alabaster sculptures. Carving away the excess material to reveal the image contained within the stone, each artist then carefully polishes and finishes the sculpture to a soft luster. Please note: the sculptures shown on the page are not to scale
